Digital Output
Our Polaroid Digital Halftone Proofer, 21.5" x 29.5" image area, supports line screens up to 600lpi.  This system allows us to use a variety of paper stocks as well as offering HexaChrome and several Pantone spot colors, not just 4/c process. We utilize ORIS ColorTuner to fingerprint our EPSON 9600 and 9800 to our presses. Our TechSage Spinjet 1000 allows our customers to see full-color trapped backed-up proofs.

Scanning
SCREEN's 1045AI Drum Scanner allows us to scan any flexible original up to 11.5" x 17.5".  These originals can be enlarged up to 2600 percent.  Any non-flexible items can be scanned on our CreoScitex EverSmart Supreme.

Work Stations and Media Storage
We have more than 900 gig of RAID-5 online storage space and can handle most media types including Iomega Zip, Jaz, SyQuest, Magneto-Opticals, CD, and DVD.  We offer to archive customers' jobs, in house, for future use.  Storage options include CD or DVD. Duplicates of all archived media are kept at a secure offsite location.

CTP Plate Output

In conjunction with our State-of-the-Art Digital PrePress Department, The Printing Source also has full traditional PrePress capabilities; These two worlds of PrePress combined make us able to handle all jobs as efficiently as possible while continuing to offer the highest quality separations.

Printing Capabilities
We are currently operating some of the most technologically advanced presses in our industry; The Heidelberg 40" C.D. press can run 8 colors plus aqueous registered coating all in one single pass, with stock as thin as an onion skin up to 40 pt board stock; Our other Heidelberg 40" CD is a 7-color with UV capabilities; Our Ryobi 3302M is a true two color unitized small format press for all of your short fun type work.  We also have the capability of running preconverted envelopes with bleeds on all four sides, on our Halm Jet envelope press at the remarkable rate of 75,000 impressions per hour.
